In my second stint at the Polish section of HIAB I was the assistent-projectmanager assigned to improve relations with HIAB’s suppliers. HIAB’s production time depends strongly on the delivery of dozens suppliers. During my time in Poland I spoke with a lot of them and visited a fair amount (across Europe) to assess the possibilities of improvement and to make contract agreements about these improved delivery times. This was a really successful project: relations have been permanently improved, HIAB has significantly improved their own delivery times and the expeditors now have protocol to maintain contact with suppliers and uphold the standards of delivery.
Hiab is the leading provider of on-road load handling equipment and services. We offer products, services and spare parts that are used in on-road transport and delivery.
With Hiab’s products, the customer can move, hoist, load and unload products, equipment and materials.
Hiab’s customers range from large national or regional companies to local and relatively small enterprises. Customers’ fields of businesses include transportation companies, municipalities and governments, fleet operators, single truck owners, rental companies and truck manufacturers. Hiab’s business is characterised by a high number of individual, small orders.
